Sweet February Days [printable calendar]

I can’t believe we are already one month into 2019! January feels like a whirlwind. Sometimes it seems like it takes the whole month to settle back into the routine of work projects and school schedules and to get my brain reoriented after holiday fun. And now, thirty-one days have passed! Although I’ve ignored the Frog Kisser since January 1st, I have enjoyed finishing up a few new illustration and branding projects for clients, sorting through some of my plans for personal work, and indulging in the freedom to get a slow start when needed. As we set out on another “sweet” month today, I’m sharing a new printable calendar, and a few sweet things we’re looking forward to in February. I’m excited to begin sharing some of the content ideas I’ve been working on.

We’re beginning February with a sweet little addition to our family. This weekend, we are picking up a tiny 8-week-old maltipoo puppy we’ve named Peanut, and I can already anticipate saying “Sweet Pea” as a nickname. Baby Girl has been asking and researching and making her case for two years now. I’m proud of her patience and the responsibility she’s shown in waiting for this little dream to be realized.

In a week or so, my parents will be moving back home after staying with us for about two months — the fallout of a pine tree taking a tumble on their house in December. Amid all the craziness of two extra people in our house, I’ve been so grateful for this time together and having the opportunity to make the best of a challenging situation. We’ve seen God’s faithfulness once again in so many little things.

This month, we’re excited to see a performance of Cinderella by the Russian National Ballet, which I’m sure will be full of magic. I’m revisiting the King Edward Hotel in Jackson, MS for a client meeting, and I hope to go on a little photography explore while I’m there. I’ll also have the chance to visit with a first grade class and help them make block printed Valentine cards – fun!

The kids are stretching themselves and their wings a bit this semester with a few new school opportunities. And, I’m painting and learning and writing through some of the ideas and dreams I’ve been holding in the back of my mind.

Sweet days ahead. Nothing spectacular. Nothing groundbreaking. Just ordinary days to soak up and savor. I hope you find your own sweet days with this month’s calendar download. Happy February!
