One of twelve is down! In some ways, January always seems like such a slow month, but in some ways I feel like it’s flown by. Although it’s not apparent from some of the dreary weather we’ve had, the new year is off to a good start around the Pond. And now, I’m celebrating the arrival of February with a silly new print in the shop and an “Owl love you” printable calendar…
As we’re inexplicably moving into a new month in the year, I’m trying regularly to revisit some of my 2020 intentions and make sure I continue to be mindful of how I’m spending my time and energy. I’ve also been allowing myself the time and space to create without expectations — just to experiment with new media, new papers, new ideas. It’s been very freeing to allow myself not to worry about “styles” or typical subject matter or even social sharing, and just let my imagination lead. And so, I’ve been able to indulge in a few silly ideas like these Love Bugs — new in the shop!
For February, I’m working on a few posts I’m excited to share — a make-able Valentine that would be fun for loves of any age, photo recaps of a few favorite places, some cool vintage finds and a trifecta of books about the Golden State that are bringing inspiration lately.
