print shop . Easter Cards

If you’ve followed Small Pond Graphics on Facebook or Instagram, you’ll recall seeing some of these watercolor images. I had a great time experimenting with them over our spring break trip to the farm a few weeks ago. I’m offering some Easter card designs this year that can be personalized. If you are interested in placing an order, just email me the information listed on the images.

This little white bunny was a favorite with the Facebook commenters, and I love it as all-season sweetness for girls and boys. Below are several personalized calling card designs. Let me know what you think. I’d love to create some for your little bunny!

This Spring I’ve decided to offer some personalized watercolor gift tags, notecards for Easter as well as calling cards. The ordering and pricing information is above, and I’d love to create something for your family.

I’m not exactly sure why I decided to call these the “Gentleman’s Set” except that they have a decidedly non-girlie slant, and I love the simple black imagery. These block printed designs are new in the print shop, featuring black ink on oatmeal recycled French Speckletone paper — one of my favorites. I’ll be adding several new designs printed on these 4 x 6″ cards.

By the way, you may have noticed a change in the print shop. When I started the shop, I named it “The Frogkisser” because I sometimes call myself a frog kisser for hire. However, over the holiday break as I was thinking through the business, I decided the extra name and graphics were a little too much to manage. I wanted to simplify and bring everything into sharper focus. [Yes, even marketing professionals need to re-evaluate, re-tool and refresh!] So, this January, I’ve re-imagined the print shop as “Small Pond Graphics Hand-Drawn” which allowed me to simplify my vocabulary and graphics a bit and bring more consistency to my different creative endeavors. I hope you’ll check back often as I add new designs and prints!

New Art Prints for Little Girls

I’m excited to share these sweet new prints I’m adding to the Print Shop today! During my holiday dreaming, I decided I wanted to incorporate more of my personal illustration work into pieces for the Etsy shop using some of my sketch journal entries and hand-drawn words. I’ve added a few new pieces of equipment to my office “tech” to allow me to print with great quality and color permanence, and I hope you like the results as I start sharing more of the pieces. I’ve had a goal for the last few years to incorporate more illustration into my daily work. It’s exciting to see some of the work come together.

You may have noticed from some of the sketch journal entries that I’ve been inspired by patterns and doily-type shapes recently. The sweet shapes fit so nicely with this sentiment we’ve probably all heard from our grandmothers… Pretty is as pretty does. I’ve created the design in pink, yellow and lavender color ways, and I’m excited to add one to my own Baby Girl’s decor. I hope you enjoy!

Watercolor Word Paintings

I’m excited to share some of the new things from my Etsy shop! If you’ve been following Plop! lately, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been incorporating painting into my sketch journal process. Watercolor has been my painting medium of choice since I was in college, and lately I’ve enjoyed getting back into it — pairing it with some of the hand-drawn lettering that’s captured my interest. I’ve been working on a few watercolor “word paintings,” and I’ve decided to add my first prints to The Frog Kisser shop — available as 8 x 10″ and 11 x 14″! Here are a few I’m starting with. I hope you enjoy taking a look!
