Archive for Valentines Day – Page 2

Hello, February [printable February calendar]

February is here, and I can hardly believe the first month of 2018 is already gone! I have to admit that I have not gotten very far on some of the creative pursuits and ideas I set out to explore this year. January was busier than I expected with juggling new projects, new clients, kid activities, unexpected schedule changes, and more. I’m even a day late in sharing my monthly calendar! Still, I keep reminding myself that all the hustle and bustle of new work is just evidence and fallout from a ton of new blessings that have landed in our lap for 2018.

SO, as we enter a new month, I’ve decided to give myself a little extra measure of love and grace. Ideas have no expiration date, and sometimes they even get better with age. My days in 2018 may have been full, but I’ve spent them with the ones I love most, celebrating milestones, and honors, and snow days, and family date nights. The start of February is an encouragement to stick with it! Stick with what I love. Stick with who I love. Stick with moving forward. Stick with trying new things.

I included a little cutaway Valentine in this month’s printable calendar. You can download here or by clicking the image below. Enjoy!

Over our holiday break in December, I developed some plans for a new collection of Valentines I was planning to launch that could be personalized for kids. I had spent some time brainstorming a list of silly sayings and notes for images I wanted to use. I floated this one past my focus group (read Montgomery kiddos) during the afternoon pick-up route a few weeks ago, and it passed the test of my 9-year-old, laughter-loving son — complete with the Italian-ish accent! Alas, some communications services I’ve been donating to a local organization over the last month have taken a higher place on my priority list, so I decided to keep the Valentine’s Day cards until next year.

I’m still in love with the ideas, even after V-Day passes. So, I decided to play around with a few in my morning painting time, and I’m thinking some may be a good fit for new greeting cards in the print shop. Stay tuned, and in the mean time… You Wanna Pizza Me?

He Love Me. He Loves Me Not. [printable Valentines]

Ok, you definitely can’t enjoy the month of February –the Love month– without a few Valentines! I sent out the February issue of AQUA, my monthly creative ezine, earlier this week, and it included some free printable valentines I thought I would share here also.

I know Valentines Day may make some of you roll your eyes, so I had a little fun with watercolors creating these printable sentiments to appeal to both the loved and the love-lorn. The woodland-inspired set above are for those in the “he loves me” category. AAAND, for those in the “he loves me NOT” group, you’ll find the alternate set below.

I hope you’ll take these with all the tongue-in-cheeky-ness intended and enjoy sharing the love loud and proud on Valentines Day and every day. Life is short! Don’t miss the opportunity.
